Megan's Mom's Candy Pecans
1 lb. Pecans
2 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. Cinnamon
pinch salt
1 stick butter
Melt butter in a 13 X 9 pan in 350 degree oven.
Beat egg whites. Add sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Fold in the pecans and spread in pan.
Bake at 350 til butter is absorbed in pecans, about ½ to ¾ hour. Stir while baking.
Be careful not to burn pecans.
Cool and store in mason jars or tupperware.
Megan's Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies
Sift together:
1 cup plus 2 TBS sifted flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt . . . then set aside.
Combine:
½ cup softened butter
6 TBS sugar
6 TBS packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp water
Beat til creamy. Then beat in one egg.
Add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips and ½ cup nuts.
Drop by well-rounded teaspoons on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
